What Position are you applying for?
Lifeguard – Must be at least 15 years of age. Responsible for maintaining order in pools and at the water park by preventing accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, regulations, and ordinances governing the conduct of patrons. Lifeguards are also responsible for monitoring the facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, providing first aid to patrons, and performing rescues as necessary to ensure the safety of all swimmers. The position requires Lifeguard Certification. We will train the right candidate.
Admissions Worker - Responsibilities include but are not limited to cash register operation, customer admittance, equipment maintenance, cleaning duties, and patron assistant positions throughout the water park. Smiles will be required every day!
Concessions Worker - Must be at least 16 years old. Responsibilities include but are not limited to cash register operation, customer service, safe food preparation, equipment maintenance, and cleaning duties. Smiles will be required every day!
Maintenance Team - Must be at least 16 years old and have the ability to lift 50 lbs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to general custodial work, trash pick-up in and around the facility, water landscape, grounds landscape, and maintenance of pool equipment.
Water Fitness Instructor - Previous experience as an exercise instructor is preferred, but not required. An outgoing personality is a must!
Swim Lesson Instructor - Previous experience as a swim lesson instructor or aide is required. Patience and willingness to work with young children and their parents is a must!
Swim Lesson Aide - Previous experience in lifeguarding, teaching, coaching, or working with children is preferred. Patience and willingness to work with young children and their parents is a must!

The Hays Recreation Commission conducts background checks on all individuals who are employed by and/or volunteer for the HRC.
