b'OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONSOther organizations in the area provide us with information about their programs.For more information about any of the programs below please contact them directly.HAYS STRIDERS TRACK CLUBThe Hays Striders Track Club is a competitive youth track team for all area youth ages 6-18.The Club is associated with the Missouri Valley USATF and AAU organizations, practice daily, and are coached by certified USATF and AAU coaches. Athletes can become members of the AAU and/or USATF.The Striders practice at 6 PM, Monday thru Fridayat the Hays High track. The club competes in developmental track meets in April and May, fol-lowed by qualifying track meets in the summer months. Competition is based on gender and age group. Qualification at the qualifying meets could lead to competition at the Junior Olympic Games.The games for AAU will be held in Greensboro,NC. The games for USATF will be in Sacramento,CA.The Striders are dedicated to developing track and field skills while stressing self-discipline, confidence, and cooperation. Individual workouts based on individual goals are emphasized. All coaches, volunteers, and parents assisting with the Striders must pass a background screen.
