**NEW**REFUND POLICY

Your satisfaction is important to us.  Due to program costs, including instructors, supplies, and to help maintain our minimum numbers, we ask for your cooperation when requesting a refund or credit.  Our policy is to provide a full refund or credit, your choice, to anyone who cancels by the deadline.  Anything after the deadline, will not receive a refund/credit unless your spot can be filled.


TRIP REFUND POLICY
Trips that require advance ticket purchase no refunds will be issued – see trip description.  Trips with not requiring advance tickets a full refund will be issued if cancelled by the Deadline date.  After the Deadline there will be a $5.00 processing fee charged, up until two days prior to the trip when no refund will be given.

PICKLEBALL
WE HAVE GROUPS LOOKING FOR PLAYERS!!  
(We have a group specifically on Wednesday Morning 8:00am - 10:30am)

The fastest growing sport in America is played on a smaller court (the size of a badminton court). It is played with a paddle (larger than a ping pong paddle, smaller than a tennis racquet) and a whiffle ball. The balls & paddles are furnished, or bring your own. 
We have groups that just hit the ball around for fun and others that play by the rules.  The idea is just to get out and HAVE FUN, and get some exercise!

MONDAY NIGHT PINOCHLE
All you have to do is show up for a great night of Pinochle.  Bring your own partner or come alone and pair up with someone.  We will meet each Monday from 7:00 – 9:00pm at the Hays Recreation Center in the Marcy Allenbaugh Conference Room.  The HRC will provide pop, popcorn, cards, and other supplies.  You supply the FUN!!!  This program is open to anyone age 18 & older.  The program is free of charge although donations will be accepted to help offset the cost of supplies and supervisor.
TUESDAY BRIDGE TIME
Are you over 55 and love playing Bridge?  If you are, come on out to the Recreation Center and play.  Get together with your friends and meet some new ones while you play this great card game.  This program will meet every Tuesday from 1:00 – 5:00pm, in the Dale Allenbaugh Conference Room.
 
WEDNESDAY - TAI CHI SENIORS
Tai Chi Senior is a proactive origination in China and has been used for many years to promote health and well being.  It has been seen that Tai Chi can help to improve balance and relaxation.  Tai Chi consists of slow, fluid movements, which are done in a standing position.  This class is geared toward senior adults and beginner Tai Chi participants. This class will also bring you to your standing yoga poses that will complete your overall mind and body.

THURSDAY NIGHT PITCH
Join us on Thursday nights for a fun evening of playing pitch.  This program will meet from 7:00 - 9:00pm at the Recreation Center in the Dale Allenbaugh Conference Room.  This program is open to anyone age 18 & older.
 
BEGINNER’S SEWING WITH A QUILTING EMPHASIS
Knitting and crocheting are making a strong comeback so why can’t quilting and sewing. In this course, we will start from the very beginning with your machine. You will need to bring a machine and the list of supplies to start. We will start sewing on paper and move to fabrics. Quilting offers so many great opportunities for someone like me who appreciates a quicker turn around on projects. Henry Ford said, “Whether you believe you can or can’t, you are right.” 
Anyone can do this!!

PICKLEBALL FOR ALL
Do you have questions or don’t know how to play pickleball?  Do you want to improve your game or learn the rules of the game?  Sign up for pickleballl lessons for the novice to the intermediate player.

BORDERS, BINDING, AND BEAUTIFUL FINISHED QUILTS NEW
Learn how to properly measure and apply borders so your quilts square easier and avoid rippling. Binding is the finishing edge on quilts and adds creative elements and a frame around the quilt. Learn how to machine bind a quilt. This class will require sewing experience, a sewing machine, and a list of supplies. If you are looking to start sewing take the Beginner’s Sewing class and get in some experience so you can join us for this class as well.

MOMMA MILDY DINNER SHOW
Presented by: Ellsworth Correctional Facility The dinner show Momma Mildy.
What do you get when you have three CSI inspired ladies, who think they have a mystery on their hands? Momma Mildy and her two friends, Euny and Hattie, are all CSI fanatics. Euny and Hattie become very suspicious of the new neighbors, the Von Erics, who have recently came to town to renovate the church. Or have they? The super sleuths begin an all-out investigation, CSI style, to try and get to the bottom of their suspicions. The Meal is included.

HOW TO CREATE A T-SHIRT QUILT
T-shirt quilts are a great gift idea and remedy for the box of shirts we love but don’t wear anymore. In this “How To” course you will learn how to cut, stabilize, design, piece, and finish a quilt in a traditional finished look. Sewing experience is required but for this course, you will not need to bring your sewing machine. I will provide handouts to help take the information home and a Teflon sheet for stabilizing. A supply list will be given to you when you register! If you are looking to start sewing take the Beginner’s Sewing class and get in some experience so you can join us for this class as well.

HOXLEY TRIP
What started as a dream for Western Plains Energy using local grain turned into an ethanol storage Plant.  Take a tour and see how this all came about. After the tour, we head north to Hoxie for lunch at the local restaurant “The Elephant Bar and Bistro”. The day will finish on a trip through Mickey’s Museum before heading back to Hays. The cost of lunch is not included in your fee.

Come and join us for a morning of pickleball and then finish with lunch.  Wichita newest restaurant (Chicken N Pickle) offers both. Courts are ready for two hours of play for you and your friends and then enjoy lunch to refuel the body before heading back home.  Your game time is included in your entry fee, but not your meal.

TRAVEL THE FLINT HILLS
In the morning we will visit the Columbian Theatre, Museum & Art Center enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon learn all about the habits, history, and future of these wooly survivors the buffalos. The trailer is comfortable with bucket seats as we learn the history of Kansas Flint Hills, native flowers and close up pictures of the herd.   The Meal is not included in your fee.

Join us as we head to Wichita on Friday to hit the specialty store, The Spice Market, Nutty House, and a few other shops. Then that evening enjoy a variety show at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon dinner show.  Saturday we will rise for breakfast before visiting the Botanic Garden.

TIME MACHINE
Travel back in time when we stop at Old Prairie Town in Topeka.  We will see a replica log cabin, Victorian Prairie Mansion, and a Botanical Garden.  Other outside buildings will be the town square with a schoolhouse, Mulvane General Store, Potwin Drug store, Longo Livery Stable and many more building. Lunch will include a picnic basket dinner. We will finish with a drive to see some different kind of Kansas art.

KANSAS STATE FAIR TRIP
Come and join us for a day at the State Fair in Hutchinson, KS.  We will leave early in the morning so you can walk around the grounds at your leisure and meet back in the afternoon for your ride home.  Come yourself or bring a friend and enjoy a day at the fair.  Your meal is NOT included in your entry fee.
